KSA allocates $530m for green projects in Northern Borders

Saudi Arabia has implemented water projects in the kingdom worth about SR150 billion over the past eight years, including more than SR2 billion ($530 million) worth of environment developmental projects in the Northern Borders region.

This is according to the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng Abdulrahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, who was participating in the Ministerial session of the 2023 Northern Borders Investment Forum, which was inaugurated today by Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Northern Borders Region in Arar.

The Minister highlighted the completion of the legislative framework for the kingdom’s environmental system, designed to achieve a 95% waste recycling target by 2035, a significant step away from landfill waste
